A Florida native, Sunnie lives and works in a small rural

community in the central mountains of Colorado. She

discovered her passion when she learned to restore

Victorian windows in a small town in Kansas in 1989. Art has

always been an intricate force in my life and living close to

nature constantly renews my creative energy.

“As a glass artist, the influence of nature drives the

form and style of my work. I find it extremely stimulating to

create a piece that changes continually as the sunlight

moves through it. I have discovered when the light changes

in direction and intensity, the glass becomes part of that

change. At times, it seems to be a living work that emits

the light that surrounds and flows through it. Whether

working on a custom panel or a three-dimensional piece, I

have yet to find a project that limits my experimentation

in creating with this exciting medium."

Her love for nature drew her further up into the

mountains where she continues to find her inspiration today.
